About me
I am a UX designer and former software engineer. I studied at the University of Bath for a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics and graduated with an upper second class degree in 2016. I am passionate about technology and keen to learn the 'who', 'what' and 'why' of a product's user base. I have a strong interest in psychology and natural sciences, alongside computer science and mathematics.
I am UX certified by the Neilsen and Norman Group with a specialism of Interaction Design. As a software engineer, I enjoyed creating usable and great experiences, even through legacy programming languages such as VBA. My experience as a developer has allowed me to form the link between what is designed and what can feasibly be developed, and understand the development cycle.
I have a strong focus on accessibility - I believe all digital content should be accessible for everybody and should not discriminate. I have in-depth knowledge of legislation and guidelines such as WCAG and how these can be translated into design or developed code. I can consult, design, advise and audit websites and applications to meet regulations and provide a good user experience for everyone.
I am currently working on a web version of my PDF portfolio to ensure it can be accessible by all.
